Bicycle Repair Assistant
Main Duties
- Welcome residents and tourists to the Bike House.
- Provide bicycle rental services.
- Offer tourist information to visitors using maps and informational materials.
- Assist the bicycle mechanic with routine maintenance and minor repairs on rental bicycles.
- Inspect the overall condition of bicycles before and after rentals.
- Clean, prepare, and store bicycles and equipment.
- Participate in inventory management of bicycles, equipment, and accessories.
- Process payments and operate a payment terminal.
- Promote the Bike House’s services and activities to customers.
- Compile usage statistics.
Salary and Working Conditions
- Salary according to the current pay scale.
- Schedule: Wednesday to Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (35 hours per week).
- Seasonal position from June 17 to October 18, 2026.
- Work both indoors and outdoors.
- Serve a bilingual clientele.
- Work in a dynamic tourist environment in the heart of Jacques-Cartier Park.
Requirements
- Interest in cycling and basic bicycle mechanics.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Reliable, responsible, and self-motivated.
- Comfortable interacting with the public.
- Willingness to learn.
Languages
- Bilingual (French and English).
- Ability to serve a bilingual tourist clientele.
Desired Skills
